How to use Merge PDF

Building the combined document
Order is decided before the merge, not after — the output is a single file with no record of where the seams were.
- 01Add every file
Drop them all in at once, or add them in batches. Nothing is uploaded; the documents are read in this tab.
- 02Arrange the sequence
Drag them into the order you want. The first file's pages come first, and so on down the list.
- 03Check the joins
Look at the last page of each document and the first of the next. This is where a stray cover sheet or blank page shows up.
- 04Merge and download
One PDF is written containing every page in that order.
When the documents do not match
- Different page sizes
A4 and Letter pages in one file stay at their own sizes. It is valid, and it prints with inconsistent margins — worth knowing before you send it to be bound.
- Mixed orientation
Portrait and landscape pages coexist happily. If it was not deliberate, rotate the odd ones out first.
- Scans beside digital pages
A scanned page is an image; a digital page is text. The result is searchable in some places and not others, which surprises people later.
Worth checking first
Page order within each file — Merging will not fix a document whose own pages are out of sequence. Reorder it first.
Duplicate cover pages — Combining several exported reports usually produces a stack of near-identical title pages.
Total size — Merged files add up. If the result needs emailing, compressing afterwards is usually more effective than compressing each input.

Your file, and what the page does
Your file is never uploaded. Merge PDF reads it into this browser tab and processes it with pdf-lib on your own device. There is no upload endpoint in the application and no copy on any server — closing the tab discards it.
What the page does send or fetch

- The site is funded by advertising, so the page loads Google AdSense. That carries the usual web basics — IP address, browser, referring page — as on any ad-supported site.
- An anonymous usage counter
- When Merge PDF finishes we record that the tool ran, whether it succeeded and how long it took. No file data, no identifier, no cookie.
