Rotate Image
Rotate Image turns a photo by 90-degree steps or any custom angle, and can flip it horizontally or vertically. The canvas expands to fit rotated corners so nothing gets clipped, and you preview the result live before exporting.

What rotating does
Turns the picture in 90° steps. A landscape photo becomes portrait and the width and height swap places. If your photo already looked sideways before you touched anything, that is an orientation flag your viewer ignored rather than a fault in the file.
What does not change
Every pixel survives. Rotating by 90, 180 or 270 degrees moves whole pixels to new positions with nothing to interpolate, so there is no quality cost at all. The format, resolution and colour are identical.

Your file, and what the page does
Your file is never uploaded. Rotate Image reads it into this browser tab and processes it with your browser's own Canvas engine on your own device. There is no upload endpoint in the application and no copy on any server — closing the tab discards it.
Because the result is rebuilt from pixels, the source file's EXIF metadata does not survive into it. Camera model, timestamp and any GPS coordinates recorded by your phone are simply not present in the output — a side effect of how canvas encoding works, and a useful one before posting a photo publicly.
What the page does send or fetch
- Ads on the page
- The site is funded by advertising, so the page loads Google AdSense. That carries the usual web basics — IP address, browser, referring page — as on any ad-supported site.
- An anonymous usage counter
- When Rotate Image finishes we record that the tool ran, whether it succeeded and how long it took. No file data, no identifier, no cookie.
Your file is not on that list. How this works.

PNG and WebP images keep their transparent background; JPGs are filled with white.

No. It runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, Brave — with nothing to download or install.
