Choosing the shape

What you remove does not come back
The pixels outside the crop box are discarded from the exported file. There is no way to recover them from the result — an uncropped version has to come from the original.
Export to a new file and keep the source. Every tool here works from the file you drop in and writes a fresh one, so the original on your device is untouched — but only if you do not overwrite it yourself afterwards.

Your file, and what the page does
Your file is never uploaded. Crop Image reads it into this browser tab and processes it with your browser's own Canvas engine on your own device. There is no upload endpoint in the application and no copy on any server — closing the tab discards it.
Because the result is rebuilt from pixels, the source file's EXIF metadata does not survive into it. Camera model, timestamp and any GPS coordinates recorded by your phone are simply not present in the output — a side effect of how canvas encoding works, and a useful one before posting a photo publicly.
What the page does send or fetch

- The site is funded by advertising, so the page loads Google AdSense. That carries the usual web basics — IP address, browser, referring page — as on any ad-supported site.
- An anonymous usage counter
- When Crop Image finishes we record that the tool ran, whether it succeeded and how long it took. No file data, no identifier, no cookie.
